The Designer

God designed our physical bodies to sustain itself all on it’s own.

He created our bodies to “breathe”. Did you ever notice that you don’t even think about breathing during the day? Besides how do you make yourself breathe? Weird, huh.  You see breathing is a innate thing that is built in to our system that we automatically do it without thinking about. We are breathing in air(oxygen) into our lungs to start the process of making our bodies start the process of life.  Thank God,Literally, Thank God for starting our bodies through this process for us.

The second thing that God has built into our bodies as a natural recurrence that we don’t have to worry about is eating. Our bodies crave for continuing input of a substance to sustain us as a physical being. We are thirsty, We are hungry, some more than others,(we know who you are, too). But, maybe this could be a good thing, we will talk about this later. Our eating is called a process, of eating of 3 meals a day, with maybe a few snacks a day. We we have looked back at our day and noticed that we have enjoyed our experience of the complete day, we are thankful that we are not hungry or thirsty as the day comes to a end.

The third thing that comes natural to us is sleep. we can go,go,go all day long and our bodies will tell us that it needs stop. Now some people have the different sleep patterns of the day, like to stay up late and sleep late, but we will not talk about them now. Our bodies are built to last for awhile, but not forever. Our bodies would be over sooner if we were to try and continue to go,go,go forever. It would simply quit working and die. The Lord’s intention was for us to have a daily schedule of breathing, eating, and resting.

Read the last statement that I made in the last paragraph again.

I am in awe in the suttle little things that He says or does and we don’t see or hear it! But that is another subject! If He created just 3 natural things in our human life to do, wouldn’t you think that He would use the same principals in our spiritual life?!

Let’s start with the most basic element of life in Him. BREATHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Breathing is the basis of life!! If we don’t breathe, we are dead! duh! This is basis our spiritual life also. If we are not breathing or not taking in Christ as our life, then we are dead! Breathing is the beginning of life and the end of life if you think about it! Our Spiritual Life begins with breathing in Christ as our life! Now, do you you just breathe in the morning when you get up and start your day and that’s all? If you do then you would be dead soon after this, cause I know you can’t hold your breath for more than maybe 20 seconds! So then you must continue to breathe continuous throughout the day! So in your living for Christ you must breathe Him in every 20 seconds! (have you ever thought about doing this, your life would totally be different I bet). I believe that this is and was God’s original intention in the Garden of Eden!!

Our 2nd natural Spiritual intention of Christ is to grow(eat) of Him! If we fail to do this if we are babies, we would stay a baby and not increase our body. Our body is naturally  craving food, or substance to strengthen our body, it does not want to stay the same. It wants to be full of food, quenched of hunger and thirst. God is Awesome! We are not to be satisfied with just knowing Him, but to be of Him. A human characteristic that  some of us aspire to is to be known by someone as a”likeness,or you are your father,or mother”. We have become our parents is maybe a good thing for some of us, some not in our eyes. But this is the concept that we should aspire to of our Heavenly Father!

The third natural Spiritual intention of Christ is to rest or sleep in Christ. This might be one of the hardest things for us to do, seems weird to say,but I believe it is where we fail the most. When I sleep, one it doesn’t take me long to go to sleep, I am out when I hit that pillow. The rest when I do wake up that I received let’s me be able to start another day.  The key to this rest is something that is nothing!  I mean nothing! We just relax and slow our breathing and our minds and we naturally fall asleep. If we would only would do this in our natural Spiritual life! To rest in Christ is to allow Him to be Christ, and for Us to be still, quiet, listening, and being filled with His indwelling. Hallelujah! I cannot for the life of me not be thinking of something during the day, my mind is always going on about something, What I need to do or say or be with someone during this time of activity is always keeping us going during the day. But at night we shut things off and our ming should stop, our bodies quit moving, and our spirit is there to be receptive to Christ in His dwelling. Praise His Name!! WOW!! God is Great!!

My God(The Designer) is wonderful in his ways, He is my motivation and my inspiration to live, I pray that you are Living,Growing, and Resting in His Spiritual Body today!!

Christmas?

Let me give you a different perspective of what Christmas is.
In a phrase it is ” the dusk of the old world”. You see it was to be 33 and 1/2 years later that the “Kingdom of God” will be! Christ came to us to begin the final chapter of mankind, and to start God-kind with the beginning of His Kingdom! The Dawning of His Kingdom is what God intended for us from the first day of the Garden of Eden. ” Our testimony should be that we do not know what is good or evil!”
This has become my favorite quote! You see if we are to be in-sink with God’s original plan, We would not of known the concept of good or evil before it was conceived. Isn’t this a awesome thought!!

What does 100% mean?

It seems that we use this term very loosely in our efforts to accomplish something. We will give it 100% effort to work today,100% to work in the yard, 100% to be on time to school.
These statements seem to be very vague in even their saying them. You see, if you were to give 100% to something it would be a statement from when you woke up in the morning to when you went to bed, to focus and to be mindful of all during this period. But yet most of the time it is just a spur of the moment thing when we realize that we are to follow through on our promise or our goal.
I would be willing to bet that most of us in reality are only giving 10% at best of doing that 100% commitment!
The crux of the matter is that we as Christians are trying to give that 100% to God when there is no way we are ever going to achieve this in our humanness.
Our traditions have led us to believe that we are to do “good works and be fruitful” according to the Word.I would like to interject hear a problem with our belief system, through the years. It seems that we have been focused on the fruits of Jesus while He was here on earth. We have been looking at the wrong thing, God gave Christ the Indwelling of Himself to Christ, so that He could be Holy while on earth. We tend to forget that it all begins with our nature that we were born with, that gets us in trouble. It doesn’t matter if we give 100% effort of our humanness it still equals 0% in God’s book because it is not of Him! His Nature is the one that gives Him the fruit of Him.
But yet we fail to realize that we are not to do these things through our own being. “We” have died to Christ ever since He died on the Cross! It is the Spirit of Christ that lives in us that Moves Us!!
I would like to remind us that it is God that moves the mountains, calms the seas, and puts the planets in their orbits. My 100% just doesn’t look like much to me, now.

I am “going against the grain!”

There is a popular sports show on the radio and TV show named “The Dan Patrick Show”, a former sports anchor from ESPN network, his TV “dan-ettes” , fellow co-horts help him with the tv side of things. One of them Andrew Perloff has coined a phrase recently “going against the grain” in his explanation of someone doing something against the norm in any sport.

I have instituted this in my life. Mind,Body and Soul. You see I am not apart of this world! I do not know what this will look like or be like, but I feel that God is nudging me in this way. This is a very scary thing, but if we are of  the belief that We are of God, then we must not be apart of this world. This is a ongoing journey with the Lord, I pray that I can have his indwelling in me on a daily basis.  You see if I search for the “root” of Christ and not the “fruit” of Him, I will have his indwelling  in me, which will naturally flow the “fruits” of Him.

I challenge you to “go against the grain” and search for God in not of this world’s ways but according to “His Kingdom”. For to long we have searched and “done things in man’s ways”.  Why have we lived accordingly to man’s ways when we have been filled with His Spirit and not have accepted his indwelling in us.

I want to expound on this subject of going against the grain. When we examine ourselves, can we honestly say that we follow man’s ways everyday? Yes, I included. The basis of us not following man’s ways, is what happens to us when we finally do? This goes against our natural instinct! Aha!! Do you see it! Do you understand now!

This is what we fight against everyday as we live. This is our Natural instinct is to be apart of this world, not of the “Kingdom of God”.  I pray that I can be apart of the “Kingdom of God”. Daily we can do this, by believing his indwelling of Him in US.

A forgotten fact

The remembrance of Christ’s entrance into our world is coming up upon us. Our story telling of how the sheperds and wisemen coming to bethlehem, Mary and Joseph story of finding no place to stay, and star that shone so bright that night are in our minds and hearts.

But maybe we have not really noticed a small detail that is in the bible that we really didn’t or don’t understand?

Matthew 1:18- When his mother Mary had betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit.

Is this a foreshadowing of what God was designing in us,like Mary of His Holy Spirit?! God’s Indwelling in us as we walk this earth? WOW. Yet, I think that as usual we looked at this account and saw it from the human perspective as man walking the earth with God’s help by living by laws.  God’s Spirit was Jesus in Mary. Double WOW. Can you see where this can lead? God’s Spirit being apart of Jesus and apart of Mary(man) will be crucified on that Cross in 33 years, Just leaving God’s Holy Spirit rising from that Grave. Man died along with his humanistic spirit and ways.!

God’s plan was for us to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to live accordingly. Just as Jesus did. He was all about being “I am about my Father’s Business”!!!!!!!! Amen

Our Testimony

What did everyone that of the previous statement of my blog?

This was a rather deep and profound statement if you knew what it was really saying!

“Our testimony should be that we do not know what is good or evil”

Let’s start with the the first half of the statement. Our testimony should be that, Our testimony is our living, our example, our words, our actions, our being, our lifestyle, our knowledge, our will, our wisdom, and our Christ be shown to Him, NOT to someone else!

The last part of the statement you might not understand where it is coming from? It is coming from the only time in history that there was no understanding of good or evil. And When was this? It was when Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden and doing God’s will. This was before Satan came to them and questioned them as to who really was in control? Who really knew everything, including the concept of good and evil. You see this was the real Church at it’s finest moment! The Church was Adam and Eve. Enjoying his beauty of Him!

Rest

Simple little word, but yet so hard to do!!
Have you told someone to just rest? It is hard to do for more than 10 or 15 minutes without needing to just do something! Why do we think that we have do be doing something all the time? I believe it has something with our nature of being human. and the fact that we have been accustomed to be swayed or mandated at work to keep busy at all times!
Let me let you in on a little secret. Did you know that when God Created us on the sixth day of creation, that the next day God rested!! Now if, God was resting don’t you think that Adam was resting too! So in reality we should be resting in God. God’s work was finished. He rested upon His “Good” work! Adam was made complete, wonderful, and made in “His likeness”. God’s intention was for His creation to rest in Him forever and ever.
God’s 7th day of creation was His Rest, Man’s first day then man’s first day or God’s Rest.
Wow! This is called a revelation in my book! We have been led to believe that we were to be the doers of God, the movers and shakers of His Kingdom, the great leaders of His movement, the building of his church! but wait. We are to just rest? that just doesn’t compute!!
Revelations in my walking with the Lord have led me to many of these “aha” moments. I have realized that we need to go “against” our instincts, our “natural” feelings, or our this is the way the world does it excuse. God created this earth, for Man’s glory, for God to set His Head(Church) down to rest! What a awesome Picture!
