Ideology

I am wondering how ideology actually changes in a society? I don’t really know if I have actually been apart of one or seen one?

The concept I think is depending on the subject matter is done first by true discussion among groups of people either for change or for a revolt. But I don’t know. Let me know what you think?

The only reference that I know of a change of Ideology is from God. His transition for His people in the old testament to the new testament was a very radical change in thinking and doing!  We, I believe are in this beginning of such a transition of Ideology.

We as Christians have failed to separate ourselves from the world as Christ has told us to be. We are apart of the problem, we are working for Christ within the world as opposed to separating ourselves to be the example on the outside. We are to be that Light on the Hill, not in the valley with all the world.

You see( I am sorry to say this, but It has to be said) We are doing, as opposed to Being Christ!!!

You see what we are doing in that building is all wrong!  First, there is no building! Secondly, Christ said in Matt. 16:18-And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. Christ’s eternal plan included us as his church in a indwelling spirit inside of us, that corporately we would be the church or the Bride of His dreams!!

His indwelling spirit, is the key to His building of His Church. I have for the life of me cannot figure out how to sell, push, pawn, argue, coerce, or talk into someone the Indwelling of the Spirit. Now I know what you are going to say about this, that we have a obligation to witness to people! But let me come from a different angle, God has called us to have a testimony of Christ, I believe that it is more of a experience of Christ that we have failed to do, as opposed to clubbing people. Their is that inward movement of the Lord that has to be there, or there is that ultimate brick wall that we encounter with people.

Let me give you some scripture to check out. Acts 7:44, 1 Corinthians 1:6, 2 Corinthians 1:12, Hebrews 10:28, 1 john 5:11, and  Revelation 6:9.

As I have just read this, I am getting the impression that this testimony that is mentioned, is more from a personal perspective ourselves. Let me explain, Read Revelation 6 :9 again.  “When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained.”

In all these verses there seems to be a reference to us having a testimony given to God as to our belief of Christ.

Here is a quote from George Barna: “An individual cannot transform himself, nor can a church transform a person. That work can only be done by God,through the empowerment and direction of the Holy Spirit. But God is eager to partner with those who will cooperate with Him. Understanding what God seeks to do in our lives is a critical step toward not becoming seduced and sidetracked my mere religious activity. The richness of the journey is found in the experience of progressing through the challenges of the process in the company of God”

Good post. I have been pondering the home church idea within the Church meaning helping people focus on the family being the building blocks of the Church. Good stuff!
