This is in regards to a previous blog entitled Old Testament is Dead.
I don’t know if matters, but I changed the title of the blog to the above. This is with the understanding that the subject is still the same.
If 2 people have come to an agreement on a deal, then it is a bound covenant. But yet when they agree to another agreement that is a bound covenant, then the previous one is null and void. This is similar to the old and new testament.
Our understanding of the law in the old testament is null and void of its ways. We as mankind were and are unable to keep the law, for the law produces sin. This was the case in Acts 15:7-11.
The church has melded the old with the new in its ways. The Church is not the Church until it is Christ and Christ alone.
It that we have made laws,conditions,traditions,programs,and offices in the church that we have made a mockery of Christ’s Church.
I am in agreement that our intentions are good in hindsight but it is Christ that will build HIS CHURCH, and only Him.
John 6:28-29 says- (28)Then they(disciples)said to Him, “What shall we do,that we may work the works of God?”
(29)Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God,that you believe in Him whom He sent.”
This is also reverenced in Matthew 16:17-18 with Peter. Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you,Simon Bar Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you,but my father who is in heaven”. 18- “and I also say to you that you are Peter,and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
I wonder if it is with christianity that we have put the emphasis of peter as the message and carrying it out or it should be the statement that peter said “. 16- Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God”, as the message?
The Eternal Purpose 
Nah, still can’t agree. Old covenant is fulfilled by the new, not canceled. It’s not the same thing at all. Christ fulfills the purpose and intent and demands of the old covenant – to love God with our whole being and to love others with divine, holy love. That law of perfect love was not simply introduced by the new covenant, but represents the entire plan behind the old. The law of perfect love was there from the beginning, is fulfilled by Christ, who makes it possible for us to walk in His steps.
The more that I have pondered on this I still believe that God’s intention was to work thru the old testament with the children of Israel(jews) to keep them in a a more or less a holding pattern until Christ came in the New Testament with the Law that He gave them. It was them that created the religion of judaism, that they have been blinded by it so they cannot see Jesus.
God, I believe was using Jesus and the 12 disciples(12 tribes of Israel) as a spiritual symbol to His People that it was all about they being indwelt of Him, and Him being indwelt of them. It is like saying that I will be coming to your house tomorrow,tomorrow comes, I am at your house, I don’t say that I am coming to your house today, I am already there.
I think this is where the christianity has gotten it wrong, We have the New Testament already but we don’t realize it! Christ is in us!! And we are in Him.
