No, if you interpret the Bible as literal then in Revelation Jesus’ tongue will be a literal sword instead of attacking his enemies with the “sword” of the word of God.
I interpret the Bible as it speaks to me, I do not tend to let others interpret the word of God for me, though I do find it beneficial to hear from others how the Bible speaks to them.
