Do we have a biblical knowledge problem?

Let me just answer this upfront. Yes We do.

I am not one to come to if you need me to ‘quote’ you something from the bible from memory, but because I have read it multiple times over my life, I know somewhat the message is or can direct someone to where it speaks to this question. I can tell you if I have read something on this subject. My memory doesn’t allow me to remember things as much I would like. But I try.

Either people are really dumb, playing dumb, or only know things that people have fed them over the years, We have a really bad problem.

Does this need to get fixed? Yes

How do we do it then? My solution is, We need to clear our lives of the trivial stuff that we think is important to do or just to have fun in life, and get serious about our God!

But the dominant factor of this is the Acknowledgement that God is God and He is creator of the World and we are His image in it!

Until then, it will be a crazy, mixed up world as today.

Sin-Idolatry,Sins-Results from Idolatry

Knowing where to start from is usually the best place to go. Identifying what you are up against in any situation is always best.

Putting labels on things are good, but sometimes we need to go deeper and see what things are what they really are. We need to define sin. What is it?

When God was talking to Adam and Eve and giving them the tour of the Garden and the do’s and don’t’s. It was then that Adam was given a ‘choice’ of ‘Life’ and the ‘knowledge of good and evil’. Now if it was me, why would anyone choose anything but life. But the real story is the either or thing. Adam and Eve chose for themselves to be kings(Idol) of their own domain, and take the chance of how things would turn out. This is the definition of Idolatry. Choosing a ‘substitute’ object other than God is the definition of Idolatry. It would be the same as creating an object out of wood or stone, to worship as ‘their’ god. They were substituting God with themselves. This was ‘the Sin’.

Anything that comes from the acting out of this ‘Sin’, is considered sins or wrongdoings. This is our condition that we are in as of today and the past.

Luke 1:77 To give to His people the knowledge of salvation
By the forgiveness of their sins,… God is telling us that our ‘actions’ from ‘Sin’ are being forgiven. This is first step from God in clearing the road of Sin and Sins from the world. God gives mankind a ‘second’ or ‘New’ Creation to begin again in the realm of “Life” as God had intended.

Just as the first step, God would take care of the second thing, too. Jesus would change things on the first one too. Jesus would soon announce that the death and resurrection of Life. This is the ‘action’ that God took to cancel out the death of Sin and it’s action. Jesus Christ being the ‘Messiah’ was ‘saving’ mankind from ‘Sin’ by ‘being’ the example of ‘New Creation’ as being Holy.

Rom 12:2

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

This verse is the next step in our journey of ‘being in the will of God’, It is the ‘changing’ of our mind to secure this transformation. It is not by the will of our flesh, but of the spirit of God that now guides us in our live to attain the ‘Tree of Life’.

Then the eyes of both of them were opened…..

It all started here.

This was the beginning of the downfall of mankind.

We are going to take this scenario from the beginning of man’s time and see where it lead us, and what ramifications that it has on all of us.

We are going to start at verse 6 of Genesis 1, “When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate. This is after the serpent had talked to her about what God had told them the do’s and don’t’s.

The serpent questioned eve about how truthful God was in telling them of the sincerness of God and his instructions. The first thing that the serpent questions eve about is the fact of dying if the fruit was touched or eaten. Now, this is where we must start in analyzing what is meant in the discussion of adam and eve’s beginnings.

From my perspective, I have always wondered if they even knew what ‘dying’ meant? After their ordeal of eating of the fruit, and God coming upon them in the garden, hiding in the bushes, what was God going to do to make them ‘die’? With God’s questioning them about what had just happened in the garden and the forbidden fruit being eaten, and the repercussions being giving out to adam and eve, what was the mind thinking?

(I am doing this on the ‘fly’ as I go in the ‘understanding of the text, so let’s work this out together) I may throw out various possibilities of answers or questions thru this discussion.

Something that maybe we need to input here that could alter our theology of things from here out in the understanding of the scriptures. And it is this : In What state was Adam and Eve in in the Garden of Eden? And by this I mean, Adam and Eve could not of been ‘in the flesh’ in the Garden of Eden. Why? Because no one being of the flesh will be in the Kingdom of God. So the question is, “What state were they in?” I myself am not sure. But our answer will effect our belief’s from here going foreword as you will see.

Let’s go over first the reaction from eve on ‘seeing’ the tree of ‘good and evil’. She said that it ‘was good for food, it looked ‘pretty’ and the tree was desirable to make ‘one’ wise. Now, on the first observance of the ‘fruit’, it was object of a first fruit of a ‘fruit’ tree, so it was for the eating for man. Should be good so far. The second thing was mentioned was that it looked ‘pretty’ to eat. Now, as we know from food from all across the world, that all food does not look pretty. So this is an iffy proposition for us in deciding that something is good for us just because it looks ‘pretty’. The third statement from eve is one that might be hard or need to go deep into what this really means but we will throw out some things for us to think about. Serpent’s proclamation is “For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

This quote is in two parts, we will take them one at a time. The first one, I am particular interested in solving, it is revisited in alot of things in the bible, so if we solve the first one, we should be able to see our way thru with the rest of them.

‘Eat from it and your eyes will be opened’, sometimes when reading a verse or passage on something and it is referring it as being positive, I will also look at it from the opposite view, this passage is one of them. We then can say that Adam and Eve’s eyes were ‘closed’ (allegorically) in this instance. So, what does this mean? First, we can say that God did not want us to ‘know good and evil’. We could also say that only God was the author of ‘Good and Evil’, only God’s wisdom can say what is ‘good and evil’. We as His creation cannot! For He, and only He is the Creator! So is this the way that we were designed to be, as God’s creation? So, let us take this as a good thing or a God thing. (for now) Obstacles ahead!

So, by going by this, God’s desire is for his creation not to know ‘the knowledge of good and evil’. The added text from ‘the serpent’ of us having the knowledge of good and evil plus we would be ‘like God’ is not to be known by man, for man’s sake.

Let’s take this a little step further, Adam and Eve were given a choice in the garden, to obey or not to obey. This is also called a ‘Free will’ by some in the business. Some say this is not relevant in anything besides this passage. But we will see.

Now if you are new to the scriptures, you will not ‘know’ what is coming down the road for man to struggle with in his journey of continuing his ways, or if he wants to change his frutility in life. Those that have some knowledge of the whole bible, knows that there is going to be varying thought processes of who or what is going to be effected.

We will continue on with this another day, let me know what you think so far on your interpretation of this or just a comment.

Same song, different verse

My blogs have covered a multitude of topics of Christianity and its many other subcategories, but I have always sung my importance of starting with the ‘beginning’ of anything, let alone christianity.

I have blogs that have said as much many times. I want to emphasize it again here.

The message is in the beginning of God’s plan. Genesis is a wealth of the informative clues to all of God’s redemptive path to freedom. One might say it is the blueprint of His Eternal Purpose. All of his clues to ‘Life’ are in the first five books of the OT, and the prophets. God’s plan for freedom was induced for His people in the beginning of the ages but it was not seen by them as they were blind. God’s plan can be very hard to understand and follow but it will come to fruition in the Lord’s time.

The path that we must take to ‘open our eyes’ to see God’s plan begins with His original plan of Mankind and His Kingdom. This eye opening moment of man to ‘see’ God’s instituting his Kingdom must come from the failed attempt by his creature of seeing it,himself. We must do some very investigative study of the first five books and the prophets of the bible. The message was not started just in the New Testament, as we have all thought or use as our reference for ‘evangelism’ as we have thought that this is where God gives his Son as the escape of slavery from sin. But it began in the beginning of man’s life in the garden,He was going to be the Caesar of his own World. It is in this scenario that changed things. It is God’s plan to put ‘US’ back in that same Garden, to continue His Kingdom.

This is where we must start in our ‘Renewing our Mind’ on how we see the rest of the scriptures, to take us back to this scenario. It is long and arduous journey of mankind to ‘see’ and to live as if we are getting to take the next step of when Revelation 21-22 come into fruition. The end of the narrative story has got to match the scene in the beginning.

Using this blueprint of the beginning and the end picture, the details and the journey must achieve God’s plan of redemptive love and forgiveness for all to be given Grace. This is another key to understanding this narrative of God, it all about the body of Christ, all of his creation is the subject of this narrative, it began as a corporate story and it will end in a corporate way. This must be taken into account in all theology studies to achieve the storyline.

This is to cover up the existence of those ones that take the little snippets out the scripture to make a point of anything they want. This is not only poor exegesis but poor study habits of an individual or of a group. Remember, this is a narrative story, so the story will be pieced together as a regeneration of mankind to God’s Love for his creation.

By using this formula of knowing the start and end of God’s plan, we can see that “all things work together for the Glory of the Lord”!

Ironic things

When we go back and look at scripture three or four times in what it really means, or we see things that we never saw before, it makes it well worth the digging into the scriptures to know God.

One such thing that I have perceived is the story of Jesus’s birth and the storyline behind it. Do we really just sit and look at what all the pieces mean to the story and why they do? Now, this might seem strange or unimportant but I think it is a piece of the story. Mary, being the woman,(as opposed to the man) in the story is in the heritage of Eve. Eve,(both are to be convicted of the crime,Adam) being the first one to against God in the Garden, is where the journey will begin in the downward swirl of sin. The founder of sin, being in the wrong, to be corrected has got to stem from this angle of righteousness. This can only be fulfilled from the lineage of the woman. It will then follow thru to Mary,(the woman) who gives birth to the Holy Child. Jesus, being both man and God, has the lineage of man and his restitution in Him to correct the lie of man.

Secondly, this follows thru one more phase with Christ the Messiah, and His redeeming power upon man. It is within Christ that He has a women within Him that He gives birth to His body, and Bride. This ‘Bride’ is, you guessed it the woman still in the story. God has a way of keeping us in the storyline that doesn’t go far from it’s intention. God’s love for His bride has made a long journey to get us thru the entire story, but he has. In Revelation 21-22, He continues it still, with a Wedding Feast with all invited to celebrate the communion of God and His Bride.

Can we be frank?

This blog is going to be mainly to the pastor’s and church’s of the world.

First, dear pastor are you beside your self in everything that you do or think? Why? God is everywhere, everything, everyone. So why do pastor’s of the world don’t include what God is doing, saying or being in the rest of His world? Why do you just think that it is all about the confines of your little building that you meet in? It’s not about the confines of this space in the most prestigious part of the city that you have chosen.

*Let me just say here that majority of people inside the ‘church'(people in the pews) have no clue what God is doing outside the walls of their building. Their is no ‘seeing’ of what the unity of God’s ‘forest’ approach to his kingdom is, as opposed to the ‘tree’ approach by the ‘church’ on the corner.*

God has chose the whole world as his domain. It is His creation, His land, His Kingdom. It is, what it was. and it is, what is now. and it is, forever and ever. Nothing will change. God is.

So why do we do what we do as churches, or pastors to corner our selves into this niche of the world to ‘be’ a ‘church’, when it is God’s Church,His people.

Secondly, God’s Kingdom is ‘of’ Him, through Him, and by Him. Our thinking that is of the individualistic paradigm of this ‘saving’ them at whatever cost by this little church in the corner has got to go. It is nowhere to be seen in the old testament of all the journeys of mankind. In the New Testament, it is even reinforced in the proclamation of Jesus that He came for MAN(plural) to set them free from the slavery of the world, which they chose instead of God the creator.( This is what the Gospel is)

I digress, this attitude of ‘church’ and the pastor has isolated themselves in so many ways that it is to much to get in to at this point, but let me point out one Huge thing that has hampered the development of God’s people becoming God’s people. You see when you isolate apart of a body, let’s say the liver, it won’t survive by itself. It was designed to be apart of the whole body, because the whole body is designed to function with all things of the body. What is really bad for a body is when the part’s believe that they can act individually on their own to be all they can be outside the body. This is a disastrous situation. The body dies. Sound familiar?

When you ‘see’ something not come together, it must mean that it will not be so. When the piece of puzzle doesn’t fit, we must realize that it’s not apart of the puzzle!

When the People of God realize that We are ‘all’ God’s people coming together as ‘ONE’ in the name of the God of Adam, then we will be as He designed us to be, His Own.

Does Kingdom theology answer the theology of the Jews?

There is a difference of opinion of the jewish world and of the christian world in the eschatology of both. It has a few reasons why the jewish world has denied the christian eschatology, one has been the notion of dieing in this world and proceed to heaven for all the good people, and the bad, well, you know, hell.

The Kingdom of God theology, that is being now preached in various forms of avenues to christians has a different scenario for all of us. It is the storyline of God creating a world, for his creation’s, to work along side of everything He created, with God walking with us. It was when mankind, saw that He could run it by himself, without the creator in any shape or form. It was a ‘make the world and just leave it to us’ kind of scenario for mankind.

But God had a twist to this storyline, He being the God that He was, was not leaving totally to the story, He was to be involved in various things to maybe show the bad, and good things of the ‘mankind experiment’ until God’s involvement in bringing His people back around to Him. Abraham was the beginning of Gods retaking his world from mankind.

God showing the world that his only son, was the model of God’s ‘New World’ of his Kingdom is born when Jesus conquered the ‘Death’ of Mankind, that was holding it back from achieving the ultimate goal of God’s perfect example of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

God’s Kingdom is alive! It is being lived out in yours and my life that is progressing to the ultimate reality that is described in Revelation 20-21 of the New Testament.

Heaven(God’s government) is now with the world of his people, He is now all in all!

This is a very, very short storyline of what I could actually describe to you but if you desire more explained or just a question of something, I will return a answer, I hope.

Something to think about, it does connect some puzzle pieces tho!

Practicing Life

To See something one must open ones eye and look.

When Adam and Eve chose to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, they(we) chose death. For it was the other tree, the tree of Life was the one full of Life.

So it is now that we must be ‘of Life’ and not death to continue to go down this path of ‘Life’. It is now a matter of how we ‘see’ life as our perspective to live in God’s creation. God having given us a blueprint of the first example of ‘Life’, we should use it. The Garden of Eden.

We should use the obvious one first, it was a garden. A garden can be different kinds, a garden of food, a garden of beauty, a garden of nature or could be of everything. By detail in the description of the beginning of life we can see that it was at the very least a garden of substance for our living, food. God’s living creature in his image was made of the dirt of creation, which shows us the degree of our life, we are to be filled of life giving beauty of other creation from God. It was God, meeting all of our needs in ways that were obvious to us and some were in ways that God was giving us special care because we are his special creation.

Nothing brings us down more than being somewhere and the scenery is bleak, black, dreary, and just plain, but God being our creator did not spare any expanse for Adam and Eve. This garden was spared no extravagant expenses of beauty and amazement. It was where ‘our’ life was to be for eternity!

Let me bring up a point that seems to always be overlooked in this scenario in the garden. This garden was designed for mankind and the creator. Yes, the creator was creating a home for him too. God walked with adam and eve in their lives to enjoy each other, it was a community of ‘all’. It was fellowship, with all involved in the process of living. It was for all intended purposes, “All in All” as God says. It was “LIFE”.

Another key message that is overlooked in this storyline is the aspect that it is “God and Adam” that was makes it a complete picture. It was Adam(adam and eve, were two, only complete when together as one.) God(God,Holy Spirit,Jesus) were there in trinity in this storyline that makes it a complete picture. This is the basic illustration of what God was conveying to mankind after the separation of man to God, that the image of God was representing the God of his creation is actually in his kingdom and God was the King. It is not complete until their is a King, a Kingdom and his people.

This storyline from above is exactly what is being restored to the creation before our eyes, if we can only see it. God’s sending his son to be the perfect adam to be the beginning of the ‘New Creation’ to start the ‘people’ of this new kingdom which God has ordained with the resurrection of the new ‘King’ upon his new kingdom to be.

This is our journey to the New Jerusalem of God and his kingdom, the description in Revelation 21-22 is our final destination. What we do in ‘LIFE’ is what will describe our Eternal Life.

“Created” takes over?!

This title could be used as a great movie title for a lot of movies in our world.

It is always the creator’s creation that seems to come to life and  assumes control of the situation or even of the ‘world’ to cause havoc on the world. It will always comeback to bite the ‘created’ in the back-end to no avail because of its ‘real’ lack of power over everything that it wants to master.

Pondering this scenario, I wonder if we somehow know deep down inside that this is what humans have done themselves  to the creator, circumnavigate the real power of the world?

Has humans unknowing or knowingly tried to become the monster of the quote “I have the Power” of it all?

Isn’t this the real crux of the story of Adam and Eve, the first humans, seeing that they could make their own decisions on life and how it would work that they decided not to be instructed by the creator to take instructions, but to be the instructor of themselves.

God has allowed us to take this journey on ourselves, to see the problematic paradigm  that it is. It is understanding that this scenario is still going on still today. The need to see that the creator has the ‘only’ power of all for all, is still veiled over our eyes just as the children of Israel were to who Jesus really was.

It is this paradigm of knowing the creator, that is yet to be seen to the majority of humans today. It is the reality of knowing of who now is in ‘authority’, who is ‘King’,Leader,’Saviour’, or God! It is this knowledge of changing our perception of creator and the reign of some kind(kings, presidents, dictator, chancellor) or whatever leader(a human institution) you have, to that of a ‘heavenly'(as opposed to an earthly institution one that we have) Kingdom such as God has reigned from eternally past to eternally future and forever.

This concept is what is veiled in scripture for a long time until you start to see hints from Jesus during his persecution and his death, that He says that ‘His kingdom is not of this world'(not a physical one, or necessarily a place at all, but a ‘Way’ of doing things, a different way than is being done now. The way of the ‘Adam and Eve’ method of man being in charge of things.

It is ironic that even in the old testament that the children of Israel knew that it wasn’t right in this scenario, that they actually asked for help in changing it. But it wasn’t quite what God had hoped for, Yes, his people asked for ‘King’ but it was for a humanly ‘king’ not God, the Creator, the obvious choice for King!

It will not change in this paradigm until we see the ‘believers’ of God actually ‘see’, ‘act’, and acknowledge God as the ‘King of All for All’.

It is with this understanding that this will then be the fulfillment of his original creation of his people, kingdom, and King.

Shadow,Reality

Shadow–Adam, being the first adam, Eve being the first eve. Created to have fellowship. That adam being the shadow of God, and eve being the shadow of his people.

Reality–The second adam being Jesus, and second eve being his people. Just as in the creation of Adam and Eve, Eve will be come out of Adam, which was always apart of Him(God). Fellowship realized.

Doesn’t this just blow you away in this reality!!
