Holy

That’s what Genesis is all about.

If we stand back and look at the story of the Garden of Eden, we will actually see what the story is all about.

First, we have to ‘see’ what the reality of what the Garden is, God’s Space that also includes his creation; mankind.

Can you “SEE” it? if you can, then it will get easier from here to see the clear picture. God’s creation his ‘abode’, his living quarters, his room and board, his head resting place, his space, his bethel, his love. You see, this is where he is Himself, He can be himself with ‘all his creation’ (I sometimes think that we forget, or don’t realize this aspect, God loves not only his humanly creation, but also the surroundings around his humanly creation) This is “His Temple”, this is the original design, altho it might of seemed small to adam and eve at the time, it was expandable, it could start as a pinpoint on the globe, but it could spread out as a ‘drop of water in the ocean’ to expand forever! God told adam and eve to ‘Be fruitful and multiply’ in the garden, this was for everything that was concerned with in the garden, all the goodness surrounding them would flourish ‘with them’, when they would. “Good” would continually to ‘grow’!

This garden was perfect, gorgeous,amazing,picture of God and his essence. You could say that it was “Holy”. It was God and creation together in one place being one in “Holiness”! Two becoming one as a model for things to come!

Have you ever had a conversation with someone and they were telling you a story of their expertise, and a storyline of events, and they mentioned something in the story that was a analogy of something but you didn’t understand it at the time, you just didn’t say anything, and went on. But then you see the person years later and he brings up the story he told you years earlier, and it suddenly dawns on you on what that person was talking about because the one thing you didn’t understand is now in reality, standing right in front of you?

This story is the telling of “God’s temple” in reality of the Garden of Eden of the ‘ideal’ purpose of mankind, but what is ‘in front of us’ is this building that we have designated as ‘a Temple’ as our blueprint of what God wants, when in reality it is just the microcosm of what it is supposed to be, not one of ‘walls'(Eden had not walls) or an institution(men create institutions),or Theology(understanding ways of God), it is much “Bigger than this”, it is not of human ways,or hands but of God’s goodness,or Holiness!

God’s Holiness is the essence that God created us by. It was ‘His Image’ that we were brought into this world, and this was what we were meant to continually be. Christ in Us, Us in Christ.

Holiness.

Where is God?

This is not the story of searching, where you see God in the World, but something different.

The relevance of this piece is rather unique in that it will show us what the ‘Temple’ is, and all the story behind it.

As an ‘after the fact’ observer when we read the beginning of the creation of the World by God, we really don’t understand the nuances of what God is doing. Sure, he is building this big blue marble with water, land,sky,trees,birds,animals,rivers,lakes,grass,sun,moon,planets surrounding it in the sky. What is the significance of it? God makes it for some people that he will create to live on the planet. It is what we would now call it “Heaven on Earth”*. We will come back to this later.

If we follow the story of Genesis 1-2, we will also notice that God’s creation is perfect for man and for God. So much, that God lives with Adam and Eve, walking, talking with each other all day long. They are in the Garden of Eden, Where man and God are together.

Now, let us fast forward a little ways in the story, we know the transgression of adam and eve, that creates mankind to go astray. It is when God brings together His people called “Israel’ and unites them together as one and then gives them instructions to help them stay God’s people by setting up a place for them to give their sacrafices for their transgressions to God as individuals, and as the group “Israel”, and even the High Priest sacrifice was given in this ceremony.

The High Priest was ‘one of one’ that could even be ‘Holy’ enough to ‘be’ with God in this room called ‘Holy of Hollies’, This was the only place in the entire world that God was touching in his ‘being’ and presence on the earth. It was because of man’s transgression, that God was now only a pinpoint in the world, instead with his creation in a garden.

Although this setup of a Temple, for the Israel kingdom was one for just Israel, It was actually a microcosm of the original one that God had created in the beginning of time. This was/is the blueprint of God’s Kingdom. But let’s clarify something here, before some get lost in their thinking. What God is showing us very special. Even tho I have described this large, glorious and splendid Temple that was in Jerusalem at one time. The majority of the Temple was used for giving of sacrifices and all that went with it.

There was a Portico, a place for semi-large congragating to talk and discuss religious things before going into ‘Holy of Hollies’ , which only the High Priest was able to go into. This “Space”, is actually the space that we can compare or use as the illustration of the ‘Temple’, the ‘place’ where God abides. Another illustration would be the use of ‘Clouds and Fire’ to lead Israel on their way for a journey. He was ‘with’ His people. Their are many examples of this in the scriptures, to show the Lord’s presence with man.

This space in the temple, was limited in size and people, one person in a room of 20 cubits squared. Small and limited to say the least in where God was.

It wasn’t until Christ resurrection that things changed. Christ’s New life and Kingdom was now established, albeit in different and totally new way. The curtain was rent from Heaven, signaling that ‘All’ would be able to be in the same place with Him, for He is now in the world for all mankind. God would not only leave this small and confining space but He would ‘go’ and be with man again in his creation. This is the story of a ‘full circle’ paradigm, that God does not change his plans for anything.

This plan of creation for his creatures, ‘all of his creatures’,man,animal,creation,heavens’ will again be back together. This scenario is one that is lost in our process of ‘learning’ things of the scriptures, but it is a major one to ‘see’ what God is doing.

God’s ‘picture’ of the Garden of Eden is one of Creator and Creation together as One.

God’s ‘church’ or people are one and the same. We are God’s. We are one, in Spirit,Mind and Truth.

Kingdom of God

People have their own thoughts on what it actually means when we say “Kingdom of God”.

But what does it mean? If we just start with the face value of the statement, we should get a pretty clear view of what it is. Let’s start with the first word, Kingdom. What does ‘kingdom’ mean? Dictionary defines it as “(Government, Politics & Diplomacy) a territory, state, people, or community ruled or reigned over by a king or queen”. This by definition is what we are talking about when we discuss the things of the old testament and the new testament.

In the old testament, the paradigm of a kingdom was that of the gentiles was the ruling military or political party that controlled the land by setting the laws and ideals for everyone. It was different for the Jewish people of Israel, their Kingdom was that of a ‘City’ Kingdom with their God as their King and their ways were of their God. It was like a microcosm of a larger model of the whole earth.

It was a reproduction of shadow from times past, one from the beginning of time, ‘Garden of Eden. It was a time of innocence and beauty of the creator and his creation. It was the paradigm of God’s ultimate eternal purpose.

Now, for the second word, God. Kingdom of God, this is possessive phrase of someone’s possession, a Kingdom. Kingdom of God, a kingdom which God rules, with His paradigm of rule. It is his right, by the mere fact of his creating the said world and putting all things below him. God’s desire for a people to be His people that would be of Him, and He in them. It is the true fulfilling of Love and Life.

Where should this lead us?

It is the acclamation of God’s creation. How then should we be doing or saying or living because of this? What is it that we should do? If we are to be apart of this ‘Kingdom’ we shall be apart of it. We shall be apart of it thru the ‘being’ which created it in his image of all things made of Love and Life.

Grass roots

I am going to come at this from a different angle.

What ‘we’ created in the garden of eden was, in reality another world, a world made by us, according to us, and for us. It’s that simple. Our way was going to be best. Designed for us and lived by us.

No matter the cost.

You see this is the world that God-less people have created. It has created some good things that we see as good.(notice that this is exactly what happens when you eat from the “knowledge of good and evil”) And as you look outside your window, you can see all the bad we have created over the last 8,000 yrs(depending your view of earth). This all was our choice back then and even today, we still feel the freedom to make our own laws for ourselves and for others, or for entire countries. We are Free!

This is the world in which we are fighting as christians to change back to God’s ‘Heaven’ structure.

But how is this going to be done. What we learn from Jesus in the New Covenant(I prefer this, over testament) is that change to the New covenant and to the New Kingdom will be created not by the way of the world’s view of getting your way of things either by war,strong arming,or laws but of just the opposite of ways. Using the paradigm, it will be the opposite of everything that you as a person of flesh will think, it will now be thought of as spirit of knowledge and wisdom of God that leads us. Christ is now, He is now in our spirit leading our worship and desires for his kingdom. It is Us and Him, together changing back the realm of His world to the way it was as in the Garden of Eden.

This picture that we are to create in the world in our own little community is the same one that Mary encountered when she was checked on the open tomb of Jesus, and saw no one in there. It was when she turned around to tell someone about his disappearance, thought she was talking to the ‘gardner’ not Jesus. John 20.14-15. This picture is not often seen thru the average christian see’s this as the beginning of a ‘New Kingdom’, Jesus back in the garden, gardening as if He had never left.

God’s desire is to get back to this scenario, it is His creation to ‘see’ this as the finality of the Eternal Purpose. Just as Jesus was gardening as the New Creation had just developed, we too should be gardening in our ‘New Creation’ doing our Vocation as God gave us to do in the first instructions for us in the realm of the garden.

Let us take our vocation as our life long duty to live up to God’s desire. Be His creation. Live for Him,Worship Him as our author and designer. Do not hide in the walls of a building, but be in the fields, streets, neighborhoods, let your ‘light’ shine to the world, your community, to start that little pocket of the world, for all to see, and to expand as others start their own little pockets of this New Kingdom, in which it will someday be all united as one, One New Kingdom, Of God our Savior!!

Almost, but not yet.

This title is a take off of Jesus’s statement of “The Kingdom is now, but not yet”

This message has been talked and preached about for last 70-80 years, but it has misguided in it’s interpretation. Without getting into why it was wrong or what was wrong, we will say that it is starting to be put in the right perspective in people and is being taught or preached to the right avenue. There are alot of people that are spreading the word of God in the right direction, but they are missing a key ingredient to make the storyline complete and actually the ingredient that will put the whole story together.

The beginning. The beginning of creation! Creation was and is what God wanted. It always was. This is the only thing He wanted. To be with His creation. If this aspect of the storyline is not started with in telling the rest of the story as to God is again bringing us back to the beginning of creation and setting us up in the Kingdom of God as like the Garden of Eden.

The page has been turned and the real story is being shared to us that God is working in the world to tell his story to all and for all to know and become apart of it. It will be a joyous day when it comes and Heaven will truly be again here on earth!!

“To your descendants I will give this Land”

These were the words that God gave to Abraham in his New Promise.

God’s ultimate goal for mankind was three fold from the very beginning of creation.

First, It was to be their God.

Second, To have all of creation as His people.

And Thirdly, To have His Kingdom in all of His Creation.

This was, and still is the blueprint of the architect, or the creator of the world. God’s design of His Eternal Purpose was to be fulfilled it must be shown in all of creation. Every part of the earth must be filled with his glory. In Isaiah 6.3 it says exactly that- “And one called out to another and said,”Holy,Holy,Holy, is the Lord of hosts, The whole earth is full of His glory”. This was God’s intention, it would be fulfilled.

These three things work in unison to achieve the ultimate goal of God, in that they are intertwined with each other to work out God’s Glory. God,Kingdom,Land. All three are as important to each other as the next one. I believe, that they will come together as one, one moment in time for the ‘shock and awe’ that God wants to show his glory to the world.

I want to focus on the Land part for just a minute and expand on it and with explanation. “In the beginning”, was the original start of God’s world, it was being spoke into existence with God’s voice, it was not to be changed,ever. It was the blueprint. Mankind did not comply with its original plan, but it is still in existence today. Garden of Eden was God’s Kingdom, it was also man’s domain mingling with God. It was perfect. It was God’s Kingdom, it was being shared with man, his creation. This was God’s desire.

To see a more illustrative ‘picture’ of what this was in Genesis, let me highly recommend a biblical company called “Bible Project” by Tim Mackie and Jon Collins. Now, back from our commercial! LOL God’s Land is all the Earth. Now, How this is being achieved is key to how this is implemented. The problem that has risen from this is that we ‘all’ seem to see it in the ‘old testament’ eyes of God’s institutional ways, that was only supposed to be an temporary covenant until the one to take it’s place was ready. Hebrews 8.13 says When He said, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to disappear. This ‘New Covenant’ which is to be now in effect, means that the old is not in affect. All of it, all aspects of it. The Covenant in detail was for the Jewish Nation, This was now, not just for them, but for everyone. The old covenant was ‘marked’ by the Jewish men being circumcised, the ‘new marker’ for the new covenant was the ‘indwelling of Christ’ in His people. The food laws of the old covenant were specific, in the new covenant there was not any limitations on what to it, but this was allegorically being understood as something even bigger than this, as said to Peter and his vision. All of mankind was included in the ‘eating of food’ together in Christ’s name! God’s New Covenant was New and different, it was to be not anything like the old. Nothing.

God was no longer only in the ‘Temple’ and only one person in contact with him, the ‘High Priest’, the veil was torn down by God for ‘All’ to have Contact with him. This was the beginning of a New Heaven and a New Earth. God and Man together again! In union with their God,the people, in their Land. All of it.

Same song, different verse

My blogs have covered a multitude of topics of Christianity and its many other subcategories, but I have always sung my importance of starting with the ‘beginning’ of anything, let alone christianity.

I have blogs that have said as much many times. I want to emphasize it again here.

The message is in the beginning of God’s plan. Genesis is a wealth of the informative clues to all of God’s redemptive path to freedom. One might say it is the blueprint of His Eternal Purpose. All of his clues to ‘Life’ are in the first five books of the OT, and the prophets. God’s plan for freedom was induced for His people in the beginning of the ages but it was not seen by them as they were blind. God’s plan can be very hard to understand and follow but it will come to fruition in the Lord’s time.

The path that we must take to ‘open our eyes’ to see God’s plan begins with His original plan of Mankind and His Kingdom. This eye opening moment of man to ‘see’ God’s instituting his Kingdom must come from the failed attempt by his creature of seeing it,himself. We must do some very investigative study of the first five books and the prophets of the bible. The message was not started just in the New Testament, as we have all thought or use as our reference for ‘evangelism’ as we have thought that this is where God gives his Son as the escape of slavery from sin. But it began in the beginning of man’s life in the garden,He was going to be the Caesar of his own World. It is in this scenario that changed things. It is God’s plan to put ‘US’ back in that same Garden, to continue His Kingdom.

This is where we must start in our ‘Renewing our Mind’ on how we see the rest of the scriptures, to take us back to this scenario. It is long and arduous journey of mankind to ‘see’ and to live as if we are getting to take the next step of when Revelation 21-22 come into fruition. The end of the narrative story has got to match the scene in the beginning.

Using this blueprint of the beginning and the end picture, the details and the journey must achieve God’s plan of redemptive love and forgiveness for all to be given Grace. This is another key to understanding this narrative of God, it all about the body of Christ, all of his creation is the subject of this narrative, it began as a corporate story and it will end in a corporate way. This must be taken into account in all theology studies to achieve the storyline.

This is to cover up the existence of those ones that take the little snippets out the scripture to make a point of anything they want. This is not only poor exegesis but poor study habits of an individual or of a group. Remember, this is a narrative story, so the story will be pieced together as a regeneration of mankind to God’s Love for his creation.

By using this formula of knowing the start and end of God’s plan, we can see that “all things work together for the Glory of the Lord”!

Revelation

or Prophecy. This book in the bible is a strange one, for sure. It is different from all the rest. It is picture into what God is thinking and his mission for his people. He explains it in different ways, that are unfamiliar to us to understand, or even just to read. But it is important for us to try.

I will continue to focus on the just the last part of the book, chapters 21-22. They are the most intriguing ones of the book and some say the whole entire bible. But we will persist in trying to ‘see’ what it says and means to all of God’s children.

We talked about the ‘What’ the other day of the particulars of God’s New Jerusalem, and its impact on us. What we will now talk about the ‘How’ the ‘What’ is to be implemented. Let’s remember that the picture that we see in Revelation 21, it is the ‘Coming of the Kingdom of God(Heaven), the ways or the economy of the righteous ones. It is a picture of a pure and blameless object, A Bride of God’s making. Let’s remember, that alot of this in Revelation is allegory in its content. It is based on something God has said,or done it the scriptures or of the things He said He was going to do in the future, all working to the glory of his name. The ‘What’ is God’s creation is coming back to the original design of God and man living together again in glory! This is the ‘saving’ action that God is taking to bring back his world.

It is the ‘How’ on this journey that we are concerned with now. If you have any of the old covenant and God’s people that was turmoil,wars,hating,mistrust,scandals, and many more things to distract God’s people from understanding of God’s Glory. It has not changed. We have still going thru these things and even more issues that have taken us down the wrong path to God’s Love for us. This is what have been dealing with for the last dozen of centuries to ‘see’ God’s road to the Kingdom of God.

What we have been doing for a long,long time is that we have very short sighted in the christian perspective. We need to look at the ‘How’ we are to be as the ‘community’ of God, and remember what God has told us that we are slaves to ourselves and of their authority over us! God designed us to be servants of Him, in that we are to be stewards of the world. If are alive and well today, all you have to do is look around the world and it is looking like a world wide rebellion against the ‘authorities ‘ of mankind. Government, of whatever form it takes in each nation, their is rebellion. Some would look at this and say that the world is in a mess for all these people to be misaligned with their governments over something as a virus, but lets think about the bigger picture of it.

One could say that the world is on the same page of sorts to be rebelling of their governments, but think of the consequences of this? They are in disagreement of the handling and implementation of a pandemic by vaccines. In another words it is the question of ‘who’ has AUTHORITY! This I believe is the beginning of the ‘New’ Paradigm of thinking for all mankind. Who does have all AUTHORITY?

God is in control! He is coming down to us, in His authoritative way of speaking to us, to bring ALL of us together. One mind, One Heart and One Spirit. God is working within us, to change us in our world, to the ways of His Kingdom.

God is bringing in his people together as one, one with the spirit of God, His Kingdom will be built in the blueprint of Genesis 1-2. God’s ‘saving’ formula is the one that brings in all of creation(remember that this is not just of mankind, but of everything that God created in the beginning. God’s world includes the universe,animals,the sea(evil),Temple(church),and the fact there will not be ‘night’ anymore, these will be all in the context of everything being ‘good’!

Vocation?

This word is really not used much in the world today. At one time it was. If I remember it correctly, it was used alot in the school systems in the terminology for the question to a student by the counselor in referencing “What vocation are you going to be striving for in your school path”? It was one of those questions that every student answered by saying “I don’t know”.

It was back in those days that the emphasis of life as a student was not just to go thru high school, then to college to get a piece of paper to say you have a piece of paper for a job, but was given some alternatives as learning and practicing a career in school with word working, metal working, FHA, Future entrepreneurs, or their were others in different schools. It was just a way to start on something that a student already was doing in school to continue in life as a part of the community.

The emphasis for the last 30-40 years has been that the only route to life is going thru the college scene. Which is a shame because not everyone is cut out to be a student of the academics and all that it entails. Anywhere from 2 to 10 years of your life is compressed into just learning a degree for a particular field, only to realize at the end of that experience it isn’t for you!

What if we all have failed to realize that ‘OUR’ Vocation has already been given to us from the time we were born. Yes, it was, and is. Just maybe we have just took this upon ourselves that we ‘thought’ that we knew what we were doing, but it really doesn’t seem like it, if you look around the world.

Let me tell you what it is.

Genesis 1: 28 God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the [fn]sky and over every living thing that [fn]moves on the earth.”

See. It has always been right there in front of our eyes, and we failed to see it or even worse, just do it!

Be fruitful and multiply…… We have done this fairly well it seems if we look at the world’s population. It is the next part that we have had the biggest issue in trying to accomplish.

Subdue it……. ‘To bring under control’. This seems to be the really hard one to understand or to work on. But let’s not look at it from our perspective from today, but of in the context of the moment of adam and eve. God told them that this was their vocation for the life. To reproduce and take care of the creation. How hard could that of been? Really. What is more outstanding is the fact that they were living in the Garden of Eden. It was the creation in a nutshell right in front of you with God already had all the plumbing done for the world, water from below and from above to drink for the garden. Their was no weeks! Thank goodness. It was an Oasis, a Paradise with perfectness all around you.

So what was the problem? Man was not content in this scene from God. Man wanted to create and own his own world to run it his own way! We know how this ends up!

So Why did we not just go with the vocation from God from the beginning of the Garden of Eden? God created us, man and women to be fruitful and to multiply, to subdue it, and be in charge of everything that was created by God above us,below us, and with us. Why,Why did we not do this?

You be the judge on this, why did we not want the vocation of taking care of the garden of eden? More importantly is the question why don’t we do this now, knowing that this is our vocation ever since we were born!

God’s Blueprint-Start to finish

As with humans, especially men I think, we always start with a sketch of a plan on a scratch of paper.

Now that sketch maybe crude in it’s first design for a man, the intent is there in what he is trying to accomplish. The other thing that a man will accomplish is the final result of that little sketch on the paper.

This too, is exactly what God set himself up to do. His sketch on the paper that he had was Genesis 1-2. It was initiated in the plan to create mankind and to have it flourish and to represent His image of Him to all the world. He created the design of mankind at God’s own. He spoke of design, and it happened. It was His authority with his credentials of being the creator. It is His Will that is supreme and authoritative in this case. What was designed in Genesis 1-2 is the rock, the affirmation that the blueprint is solid, without cause. God’s word is God’s word. It was his blueprint.

God’s design was as I have said to have mankind as his image in the earth, a true word picture of an image of Him in the world. Now, re-read this last sentence. What does this look like or sound like to you as something that we do today? Church. The image of God inside a building as the word picture of the example of the garden of eden. But, let’s relook at this again, this is what it looks like, at first, but is it really?

God’s blueprint is different. It was all of mankind(everyone) in the Temple(the world), not a location. As it is today.

Now let’s fast forward to Revelation 21-22. What it paints in the word picture of what God’s finished product is His original blueprint in Genesis 1-2. I wish I could just print out here the whole 2 chapters of Revelation 21-22 but it would be better if you would read it for yourself and read it carefully.

Genesis 1-2, Revelation 21-22, these two references are what is commonly known as the ‘sinless’ chapters of the bible. It is the two example of what is ‘of God’ for He is Holy. This is the example that Mankind should be following. NO exemptions.

It is the finished product, it reality. As Jesus said. “It is finished”! It is really finished!! It is God’s blueprint put to full and complete reality. This is God’s design, all done. Blueprint is complete in it’s entirety.

This is our reality to understand God’s blueprint from the beginning. Genesis 1-2, the creation story is so key to understanding God’s ‘rest of the story’, that if we do not get the first part of the story right then we will going down the wrong road, with a totally different scenario and end result. Which we have! This is the predicament that we are in now. We have gone down the wrong road.

God’s blueprint is solid. It’s the real deal. No exceptions, It’s His. The Creator cannot be overruled or made accordingly for mankind. It is supreme, Holy, Perfect, and the Only Way.

Let us ‘see’ the blueprint of God for what it is. “The Way”, The Truth. By following the schematics of it we WILL become the result we see in Revelation 21-22!!

Hallelujah, Forever and ever!!
