“Your Kingdom come. Your will be done,On earth as it is in Heaven”

I wonder if maybe we have forgotten about this statement in the bible.

I think we have gotten all wrapped up in this ‘church’ thing that we have forgotten that God’s Kingdom is here now, and is coming to its fullness in the future.

I believe I know why Christ said what He said in His profound statement “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it. Matt. 16:18

We have tried to move in on Him to do his work of his kingdom, When it is the King of the said Kingdom that builds the Kingdom. I have alot of issues with people in discussing this with the understanding of what this means.

A Proclamation, an announcement, a invitation, a phone call, an email, a letter, are ways that exactly the same as what the ‘Gospel’ is. It is a notice that something is new, different, or worth shouting about. The Gospel is proclaiming that God is King! God has stepped into his creation, in the middle of time, of man and his ways to say that “His Kingdom is starting”, it is building to a crescendo to make it full of Him.

We have missed out on what the scriptures are and were telling us as we read it the first time. I have told multiple people that I converse with that the bible is a narrative, a story that God is telling about his creation and his image in that creation. Read the scriptures from front to back, take your time and ‘eat it'(this is what is called eating ‘Christ’) chewing each thing 6 times(lol), it is a narrative, a story, to be told in this specific way so that we will know the character and mind of God and his purpose, his eternal purpose.

The story is NOT about a building(church) that we need to worry about, it is the mind and heart of all his images(his people) to be in Him and Him to be in Us. We are to be one. We are to be an Image of God.

God’s kingdom was in the first few pages in the bible. It is characterized in a more plain and bare example of what it was, but it was an illustration of what it is. We revolted. We wanted our own version of a kingdom. Let’s look back at history and see how that has worked out?! lol

God again gives his special images of God, Israel, as another example of ‘the Kingdom’ in the first of what we always think of a kingdom in our minds and our drawings. It is this that we need to keep in mind when we now continue reading the scriptures of the narrative for us to get the right picture. God is faithful. Yes, He is, He has created a ‘New Covenant'(Kingdom of God), and He is going to have it. He will build it, He will build with his son helping him. Jesus, Christ and Savior will be the catalyst for the dawn of the Kingdom.

Matt 6:10 “Your Kingdom Come, Your will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven”. This verse I could use as a major screw up in christian theology in it’s usage over the last 400 yrs. “Where did we see in this verse that we were going “To Heaven” at any time? This thought process has been used for the evangelical’s in their message with out any understanding of it!! I don’t understand it!!

But now that we know that the “Kingdom has started, and has started here on earth, and it will continue into it’s fruition. We can finally ‘see’ and ‘hear’ what the “Gospel” is and enjoy God’s Kingdom to its fullest!!

Praise God, Hallelujah, and Amen.

John- The New Kingdom

I have always thought that the Gospel of John was the ‘Crescendo’ of the story of the Bible. But to really know what it is really saying is key to knowing what the beginning of the bible is telling us. All aspects of the bible are important.

I believe that for us to understand the Gospel of John, we have to read and understand what Genesis,Exodus, Leviticus, and Deuteronomy tell us in the first hints of God’s story. It is crucial that we do this. Each one of these books tells us an very important segment of the storyline, each one a different part, not one more important than the other, but important. They are historical, but they also lay the groundwork or foundation to the Gospel of John in the realization the the story is much bigger and is from a different world. The books of the bible do this in various themes that it incites us to look deeper into God’s eyes and soul to know.

Let me point out something right here at this point, That God is so amazing at his logical and illogical things that he brings us to in our world, even tho it makes us stop and ponder and think and be in the mind of our creator. One mind, One Spirit. Even the most studious bible reader may not catch why John’s gospel is in the order that it is, it is there for a reason.

John’s gospel, is the final frontier of God’s Heaven Trek. It is what comes to fruition when all things have been put back to rights. (this is statement that one of my authors says that puts it exactly the way it needs to be said) God has created a storyline that has wonderful beginning that takes a fork in the road, then he plans for that storyline to comeback to the original road to put things back to rights!

God created a Kingdom in the beginning. It was called the Garden of Eden, it was the realm where God(King),Garden of Eden(the land), and his people (christians) are to reign together forever. It was Heaven on earth! Let’s stop again, to define something that has historically been misidentified as to what it was,Heaven.

If we realize that all of us, now and past, and future people that are born will be citizens of the earth. It is just obvious where we have our citizenship. We also have a citizenship that is subletted even more by the country, or state, or providence that we live in. Our world is one of our making by who we are and by how we see fit to rule ourselves as a society. We have a plethora of ways to do this all around the world.

But it is different when we talk about the Creator who created everything we see, everything we participate in, everything that we have, and everyone around us. God created everything for ………..MAN! Not man for the world, as everyone seems to think. Now think of the directionality of the phrases of this statement. God created everything for Man. God created the Kingdom(earth) for man! Everything! including himself, God talked to adam and eve in the Garden of Eden, He walked with them daily with their Creator! How cool was that! A God actually having a connecting with his creation.

This is a stark contrast later in the story of the roman and greek stories being far off from their ‘so called’ creations that they never saw them or talked to them, they had to make themselves the replica’s of them as a idol in their ‘temples’ to worship. Now how is god a god if you are to make a ‘image’ of them with your own hands?

God made his own image of himself. US! WOW!!!! We are HIS Image!! Guess what, He made us as an image of Him, in His own Temple! The Earth!! WOW, how neat is that! God wants to be with His creation again!

Can you see it Now? Look back at the beginning of Genesis 1-2 chapters to see the creation of the world, Now look at what John’s Gospel is saying and foreshadowing of things to come. IT IS THE SAME!!

It is the exact same picture that God made in the beginning that he is restoring back to rights!!

This is the Storyline of the scriptures that God has made and restored to Him the ‘Eternal Purpose’!!!

Eyes Closed

To expound on the last blog, we will uncover something amazing and earth shattering in the first few chapters of Genesis.

As I have said before in various blogs, I sometimes will do a ‘negative’ or opposite contrast view of something said in the scriptures to see where this leads me. This one has led me again to another Great insight of God. Let me read you the verse to show you what I am talking about.

It is Genesis 3.5: “For God knows that on the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will become like God, knowing good and evil.”

Now look at the bold part of the verse, your eyes will be opened. What would be the opposite of this? For their eyes to be closed. Now the verse is saying that God wants us to have closed eyes. But Why?

First, why would God want us to know what is Good and Evil? Second, and most importantly if our eyes are closed, means we are walking in Faith with God in the Garden!

Now, go forward into the Word, the new covenant, what is the message that is being idealized?

Yes that’s right! Faith in God! The Gospel was in the very beginning of Time and we didn’t even ‘see’ it!

A Big LOL.

Just as a side note, carry this thought throughout the rest of the bible when you read it on things that bring up this concept of ‘eyes open or shut’! It will clear some things up for you!!

May your eyes be shut from now on!!

Observations

I am an observer. I have become over the years interested what people say and think, in whatever the circumstance I am in. I listen to people’s conversations on the street, in restaurants, in groups of friends, not just to hear them talk, but to listen to what they are ‘really’ are saying. I have veered off of my original school studies in college of Psychology, but more of a sociology angle of people. Although I was very interested in sociology in high school as well.

This leads me to my love of listening of a plethora of things and topics on Youtube. My playlist covers a gambit of topics that I have chosen to constantly be apprised on. I continually am researching and being aware of things that are currently being discussed, but also the history of things that are always being brought back up for discussion.

My most recent episode of youtube video was a production of someone that decided to venture out on a limb(which I applaud mightily) and ask three individuals of Israel and three individuals from palistine to talk in a setting to talk. The format of the discussion was set up by a host that would ask a question that they would agree or disagree on or just a question of inquiry of state of affairs between the two people. All six people would then walk over to a stool, three stools facing three other stools for a face to face discussion. They could chose to elaborate on their opinion on the question with a rebuttal coming from the other side of the discussion. It was a very civil discussion and very informative.

I have come away with two observations from this video, not about the subjects, but from a more humanity perspective. One, in the discussion after probably thru most of the discussion it came apparent from both sides that the problem of their issue, was that it was the governments on both sides were getting in the way of what the people wanted out of the whole issue. It was like if the people could talk to each other as a whole that they could come to a resolution in a matter of minutes. What was also apparent that these six people were from the opposite sides of conflict in their views, that they were not acting as an enemy after the talks, but were one on one talking with each other about various subjects that they had discussed earlier.

The second observation, was a brilliant move by the creators of this experiment( I again want to stand up and give them an ovation for what they did), their cementing of the end result of what the creators knew what would happen in their discussions of the actual participants of the parties involved, would not be going at their adversarial throats or even attacking each other in hatred. They knew the outcome!

After the questions had all been asked and discussed by all and the answers were satisfactory understood, there was a surprise to all six participants.

They were treated to a formal dinner brought in to them for them to sup together! All six of the individuals said they would enjoy the meal together! Is this just ridiculous? Two enemies sitting together and eating together as if nothing between them mattered! They were after all just eating a meal together! But what about the things that they were fighting about in the real world? They were enemies, fighting from afar and from side to side, they were standing up for their beliefs on the issues. How could this happen, people on the opposite sides, sitting down to eat together!

I want to expand on this last point with a couple of expansions of the point. One of the realities of the discussion is the intrusion of the government into the equation. It is the ulterior motives of the government that always gets in the way of things, but it is the people that are in the middle of things, that seem to not understand the fundamental needs of the people of just getting along with each other and just living their lives. For the people as a whole wish to live together in harmony.

The last point I wish to expound on is what happened at the end of the questions put on the six people of the video on youtube. The Meal.

I can’t enough say that this event is and was a powerful statement to mankind, but even more to the audience of christianity. I will now tell you that we have to go back to the New Testament and the story of Paul and Peter in Antioch of the actual historical confrontation but also the allegoric meaning of this story.

The story of Paul and his mission to the people of Antioch was the harmony of the message was the same within the gospel being taught. A key element was the justification of who was apart of the gospel? The answer was everyone. Jew and Gentile(anyone not Jewish), The chosen people were now not just for the people of Israel but of the whole world. This picture was realized in the actual sitting down with everyone involved in the gospel and eating with them. It was a cementing statement in a picture of sorts.

It is when Peter and Paul both understood this element of the gospel, and their evangelizing to all that were concerned to know the gospel. To really understand this soon to be confrontation in context we have to understand that it was Peter that was considered to be the leader of the assembly in Jerusalem, along with James.

But it is when James and a party of his men come to antioch to check on the people of antioch for themselves and see that Peter quickly arise from the table of the gentiles to sit with the jews to eat his meal that causes a scene. Paul, having seen what had happened, chastises Peter for not staying with the gentiles to eat and escaping to sit with his fellow jews. This was not the gospel! and Paul told him so.

It was almost a story within a story to this altercation. Why did Peter do what he did? Was he only standing for his convictions when he was with Paul, or did he not really believe that the gospel was just for the Jews? It was James and his party that were being put on trial in sorts because is this the way that the assembly in Jerusalem believed. This last part will have to be for a later time to delve into for a separate blog.

It is my opinion in this matter that this was a sign of Paul and Peter going their separate ways of understanding of the gospel. This matter in this story is not often really dug into for the real issues driving the story along. I honestly believe that Paul and Peter were not on the same page of the gospel. There was a divide of the gospel stemming from the ‘church’ in Jerusalem and all the other church’s, especially the ones started with Paul.

We will further talk about this story in coming blogs to maybe clear up some things between Paul and Peter.

Worship

This is the ‘one’ word definition of the Gospel.

Who do you Worship?

God is overthrowing satan in his authority here on earth*, and God is taking over. Period.

*Revelation 12.9 And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

Is it ‘me’ or ‘us’?

For those that are unaware of things in the christian realm in theology of our day, there are two prevalent thoughts that are being talked about in churches and out of churches(authors, teachers, theologians).

The two that are being discussed and preached are what we could call the ‘Heaven and Hell’ story which has been the prevalent storyline that christianity has been telling for centuries and the one that is in great discussion in and out of christianity which is the ‘Kingdom of God‘ story.

One question that I have had for over 10 years in my journey that I am on now, is the problem of christianity’s changing the emphasis of the scriptures of the old testament to the new testament in it’s emphasis from ‘a people’ to ‘me’. I’ve asked alot of people this question without any answers or understanding.

Maybe, just maybe this is how we have come to the theology of the concept of ‘heaven and hell’. The old testament is all about ‘the people’, our changing of the emphasis to ‘me’ in the new testament has changed the message of the scriptures to take us down the wrong road which has taken us to this ‘me’ approach of the new testament.

Because we have changed the emphasis of ‘the people’ of the old testament story, and jumped to the new testament for whatever reason to the ‘me’ aspect of the audience that the ‘gospel’ is for, is that this is the outcome that we get.

But if we stay with the emphasis of ‘the people’ of the old testament to the new testament we come up with the theme of the entire new testament of ‘Kingdom of God’. This completes the story from start to finish, Genesis to Revelation, Alpha to Omega.

Something to think about, or study further don’t you think!

Have we moved away from the real gospel?

Generation after generation. Country after country. Centuries after centuries.Translation after translation.

Where did we go wrong? See above!

All these things have led us away from the original thought of what the Gospel really was. Was this the intention of the Gospel, wasn’t it to be the same yesterday, today, and tommorrow? So where have we gone wrong? When did we go wrong? and Why?

Maybe we should look back at the last statement that we used in our fall back of the gospel. ‘It is the same ‘yesterday’,today, and tommorrow. We need to start with the foundation of the statement to make the restof statement to be true.

‘Yesterday’ seems to be sticking point to us in our understanding of what the message is all about. We have gone thru generations, countries, centuries, and translations to move us from the reality of the truth. All four of these topics have made a enormous contribution of swaying our understanding of the gospel to us. It is how we appoach the influence that will keep us true to the gospel.

This by itself could lead to a whole book if we were to cover everything that these four things have done to our understanding of the gospel. So we will just hit on a few of each of the topics to get just a taste of the persuasion that we have been touched with.

Generations. Families are the lifeblood of life. They are the carrier of our thoughts, ideas, and traditions that have begun and infused the family through the ages. Families are a curious breed.LOL I have been witnessed to what I think are the two such behaviors that are obvious in the generations scenerios. The first one is that our childred can without a blink of an eye, assume the rationale of continueing their parents living of their faith. There is that ‘there is no other rationale’ of living thought. We have that ‘my parents are right’ and I will follow. There is an animated movie called “the Cruds” is an attempt by a beginning of time family that were influenced by the father who considered the dark cave to be the one and only place where it will be safe to live. Only the time to go out and catch the family meal, will it be safe to go out and swiftly catch their prey.

This is the distinguishing mark that has been carried out in some of our generations that we must continue in our heritage ‘just because’.

The second behavior is a rebellous one. It is the rebellion of life as they know it. It is an act of individualism that sets them up for a journey of oneness that takes them on a rollercoaster ride that they will never forget. The journey is one of ‘I do not wish to be apart of this realm’ and I seek to know something better or different. It is in reality the story of the prodigal son that seeks out on his own life. This story as like life never works out the way we dream it to be.
Countries, those visible lines around a united people on the surface of the world. It could and will be influenced in a government style, and or with a influencial religious tone for the country. The irony of this paradigm of this scenerio is that once that situation is formed is that it is a permanent stance of the country, with a few exceptions. One being that of overthrown by enemies, or from revolt against the government.(oddly enough you don’t see a revolt over a religion) A country is usually created by the physical takeover of a country not by religion but by governmental ideas. So the people of these new countries are under the direction and authority of the king or president. So it is that we are encapsatualted into a paradigm that they cannot escape.

Centuries, Time is unique thing, it can be good or bad. It can be a burden or blessing. But it is obvious and quite open that things can change and change fast in a century. It could be just fad or a wave of new thinking of a people that changes over a century. A century is 100 years, that is a long time to continue the same principles, mindsets, and inspirations. Things have changed rather quickly with war in the old testament and even in the times of first and second century, although in the more recent times it has slowed down in the unraveling of things in society.

Translations,Oh let me count the ways! There are has been abundance supply of interpretations of historical, speech, and life of the Jewish life over the years. It is to be expected that as time as gone on that we come across new and revised letters and accounts of life long long ago. But it is also the freedom of intrepretation that has come with various versions of thought and meaning of the same texts. Our intrepretations have all come from the fact that the written texts were from the dialogue of men who were speaking for and by God to be understood from the meaning of the dialogue, not in the details of it but the concept or the paradigm. This to me is the paradigm of the bible. A story of God of creation, his people, and His Life.

Now to see what could change a story over generations, countries, centuries, and translations can be magnified thru each event, let alone all of them together. What we have come to understand in all of these events have come from the interpretations of the 16th century perspective which has many issues in how it was achieved in the first place.

Where the story should start is from the beggining of Christ’s birth and life. The 1st century is the climax of the paradigm that we should delve into to see the gospel. Our understanding of what Christ’s entrance into the world and His exit should be our goal. Could this be the new Creation?
