Confused the language

Genesis 11:9 says “Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of the whole earth, and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of the whole Earth”.

I have used a similar statement for the ‘negative’ connotation in some of my arguments for what is wrong with Christianity in my blogs and my discussions with friends and family members. It was ‘Christianity is a mess, with over 45,000 denominations in the world that we are not on the same page, let alone in the same book!’

I still believe in this statement in my arguments, but I take the negative fact of this, to mean that it ‘will change’ for the good. Not that the whole thing is just not right period. Sometimes, God allows us to work thru our problems, or he knows down the road that He will bring us all into the fold of his kingdom, when He is ready.

As anyone that has studied the bible, knows that God works in his own ways. God’s design of his people is a ‘work in progress’, kinda scheme, some say 6-8,000 yrs in progress! As we know, the last 2,000 years have been quite crazy, and tumultuous. It was even more interesting in the forming of ‘God’s people’ in the old covenant. God has brought us all along slowly but surely for us to ‘see, hear’ Him calling us to Him.

The scattering of the people with different languages by the Lord because of mankind wanting to build a tower to the sky, heaven, is an attempt on our own to solve a problem, not to ‘see’ that the creator has the blueprint! The fact that 45,000 sects have their own ways of seeing things different, but of one that we are still missing the point by all. God will build his Church, in his own way, in his own time!

What needs to be taken from all of this is the fact that God ‘works thru the turmoil of mankind to get and bring back His Kingdom. I believe that God’s way is to live in our midst to know that we are still his, and to show us that our ways are not worthy, only His. God’s Spirit is cleansing us to be Holy again, to be in His Kingdom!

What language is that?

We all have said that to someone we are unfamiliar with that has come from a different country.

Either we didn’t understand the dialect or just was unfamiliar with the language.

This is exactly what happened in the New Testament, when Jesus arrives on the scene talking to his followers, not of a different dialect but by different language from a different world. This language from Jesus was from God himself in the government(Heavenly) that he ruled. God’ life is different. (John 18:36) God’s language is different and it was God’s people were to understand it to be different than the world’s.

Jesus started talking to the ones that supposedly ‘knew’ Jesus and could understand his meaning. But it wasn’t to be. Jesus talked to the disciples in parables, not specific stories to get across his meaning from His world, the heavenly realm. This dialogue was made for the disciples to ‘work out’ what Jesus was saying to them and to all his followers. It is also our job to ‘see’ the vision that Jesus was putting out there to his followers to not only understand but to illustrate it in their daily lives. Jesus always communicated to people in parables, even to the ones who were in power of the Jews and also to Rome.

It is at this time we should understand that this ‘language’ is of a ‘Higher’ more spiritual or Holy verbiage to all that were concerned. It was if the disciples needed to be tuned in to the right frequency to understand him. And to a point I guess that is what it would be. First, and it shouldn’t be in our native language of human, but it should be of a higher Holy speech and hearing. God talks to us, we must free ourselves from this world of everything in it including our understanding of human speech. God talks to us thru Him and His speech.

It is with the understanding that it is our ‘hearing’ and ‘seeing’ that has to be fine tuned to understand God’s voice. It happened multiple times in the New Testament that the worldly leaders did not understand what Jesus was saying, let alone the Jewish priest or pharisee and Sadducee’s.

The ‘language’ that God speaks is of His Kingdom. Father,Son, Holy Spirit are the founders of the speech. It is when we become ‘in Christ’ that we inherit this speech to ‘hear’ God and all the people of God’s Kingdom. Remember this ideal next time you are reading the New Testament and notice that the disciples or the earthly powers are beside themselves to understand What Jesus is meaning.

Our thoughts are not His thoughts. It’s no wonder that we don’t understand God if we don’t know what language He is speaking. God and His kingdom is unique and wonderful if we only let it. God has designed us to be an image of Him….and speaking the same language!!

Language

An author of a subject that he is writing about, uses a very distinct language so that the words he uses are familiar with the reader, or student. His many descriptive words for  conveying the same meaning can lead to a very elaborate picture of his subject that he is painting before our eyes.

These words are spread out over all the material that he uses to describe his story. Although, in some instances it can take another form of the descriptive language, to convey his point to build upon the knowledge of the subject. It is like any other thing that we do or say, our understanding needs to be enhanced or grown into the full meaning of the subject that the author is talking about.

This is the exact model that God has used in telling of his story. He has used very distinctive language of his story telling. You may not see it right at first, but the further into the story you start seeing the layout of God’s design of story telling. A lawyer uses the court language, a carpenter uses building language, a doctor uses medical language, and God uses his own language.

If you can see it in the first book of the bible,Genesis, and use it from the beginning of Genesis(it’s in the middle of the book) and take it all the way thru to the book of Revelation, you will see how amazing God’s story is and how it expands on it and the storyline throughout the bible and even in our timeline that it is still occurring.

I would love to hear from you on this subject, and what you think it could be. Albeit, there are a few of minor language’s that God uses, but their is one major one that overrides the others.

Let me know what you think!
