My mind is Racing

I am always reading and listening to things around me,analyzing and taking in things that I hear people say or do. My mind is racing.

But I love it. It probably keeps me out of trouble! LOL

I have said it before but I believe that I could do what I like doing 24/7 if I was capable of doing it. I love learning I guess. To bad it didn’t start in those early years of school! LOL

I love christian books,Theology books and all other books connected to the first two. I have always loved the pictures that you see in the magazines of these huge 2 or 3 story library’s of just books, or the pictures of someones library that all the walls are full of books. I also love pictures of some writer or theologian’s desk with all the books he is reading or using for references on a subject. I strive to have one of those desks with books, sticky’s,pens, notepads, and coffee cups on it! It’s only a dream, tho. I am getting there, so says my wife! It’s a mess! she says, I say no, it’s organized!

I am beginning to have more than one project at a time in the works it seems now. It can be worrisome or it can be found exhilarating all day long. My problem is I don’t have enough time! Can maybe we have 36/7 so I will have enough time? It is my drive when I get up to the end of day when I fall asleep, and sometimes I can’t go to sleep because I am trying to work something out in my mind that stops me from sleeping!

I have been doing this for over 15 yrs now,off and on, just not consistent as I have been the last two years. And it came to me one day that, that while I was doing something else around the house, I was thinking of an subject that I wanted to research more on to write about. I decided that it was then I really had found my ‘passion’ of life. I have more books to read in a year than one needs to have but at least I will be chugging along to finish reading them.

I recommend that you find your ‘Passion’ in life and just go for it. Life is so much easier when you do. More importantly I recommend that you find one that is useful to God, and your fellow man. This always, at least it should, make you feel good helping God’s neighbor. Let me know what you are doing for your ‘Passion’, we then can share our stories of good and bad days.

Is your mind racing?

Revisiting Garden of Eden & Revelation

I have touched on this subject probably on a few occasions with some different proclamations, but today I am using the two statements in a different way.

I have started another long and winding road towards the matters of studying the early church fathers, not knowing where it will lead me. But it is the way I like it. New and Different, outside the box kinda thing, I say! It is here, that I found out studying another subject, that all the answers that we are searching for in between these two statements of ‘Garden of Eden’ and ‘Revelation’ are in these two statements!

I have like I said pointed out in my blogs that it is in these two statements, ‘Beginning & ‘Eternal’ that we can find our storyline to follow in between the two statements. But it is the two statements that will drive our storyline to fruition.

So let’s re look at the beginning, the garden of Eden, What was it,and Why? God’s desires an image, an image in his likeness in his world(Temple), with fellowship together with them. It is in this fellowship that His desire is to commune with them. It is the unity of the Trinity of God that is the basis of Life. This Life is the sole instrument of what God is. Life is the Alpha and the Omega.(This statement should be written into our minds and our hearts to guide us to God’s desire for Man)

God’s beginning was not conditional on whether it worked on man or not, it would work! There’s no plan b. God’s fellowship was his goal with his creation, to create a land, a people, and a King/Priest to enjoy eternity, worshiping the creator by the creation.

God created a masterpiece in the universe that man can only see a very minute piece of it at this time, which it stills boggles my mind on our magnificent it is. I can’t even imagine what we will exclaim when we can see the whole thing,(I am assuming that the only way that we will be able to see the whole thing is when Heaven and Earth are re-united together soon.) It is this backdrop in the image of God’s desire to set up the most desirous thing possible for us by Him. There has not been anything spared in the luxury’s of God’s world for us. It was us and God,mingling, walking, talking, living together!

This is the life.

No, This is Life.

Now let’s fast forward in time and the story. God is describing the New Jerusalem(this context is pointing to that of ‘it’ is the temple that God was always wanting(Garden of Eden), Man inside his temple and all his Glory). New Jerusalem will be flowing with the river of life, stones of beauty to show God’s utmost of himself, It’s symbolism of the the twelve tribes of Israel, the Glory is all in all.

God’s reality of His Kingdom is now come to it’s fruition. It is the accumulation of all things together in God’s name that the ‘Eternal Purpose’ has come to God and Man.

Now it is just the journey in the middle of the story that will continue the story from A to B, this is the journey, to lead us into the Glory of the Lord in his ‘New Kingdom’.

Same song,different verse

I, in my blogging history have touched on this subject a few times but in different ways. I have had one blog in particular that had some good conversation on it coming from different sides but let me come again with a different twist.

The subject “The old testament(covenant) is dead”. Now this statement in its present wording (I believe) is correct. I believe that what could be the issue in this subject is our understanding of the words testament, covenant.

Let’s look at the word covenant first, covenant is the relation between two parties that have agreed on  promises to each other.

A testament is a confirmation of a such covenant, like a will and testimony of a passed on family member.

What I will maybe reword my past believing quote is that the Old Covenant IS dead,(because a new one is in effect) but the fact that the Old Testament is Yes,still alive. It is a said statement of God and His relationship with His people.

But the main emphasis here to understand is the old covenant is over and Christ is the new Covenant.

Let me show you how this is possible with the New Covenant(testament). Yes, the N.T..

The Bible,God,Spirit is really amazing in it’s just coming to you in such a way that opens your eyes and your mind to what God is doing in His infinite wisdom of his eternal purpose.

Do you even notice on how many times the writers of the new testament quote, mention, refer to the old testament? There is anywhere from 200 to over 600 complete verse by verse quotes to some kind of references of the old scriptures. This is at least a minimum of 10% of the new testament is from the old.

Now this is my take on this, pointing back to the old testament must of been a important commentary on the new testament to do this. If we are to really understand the significance of this method of inspiration by the authors we will have to go past the obvious.

Quoting something from the past is just that, the past. Whether it came from someone that we just met or from some esteemed dignitary it has to been really understood to make sense. The references going back to the old covenant, was and still is “for” God’s people, whether they be for the children of Israel or for His People today!

Remember, these “past” remarks were said in front of God’s people(children of Israel) and they didn’t understand the real meaning of God’s word’s. I sometimes see us as the “New” old children of Israel.(This is actually a blog that I am working on,the similarity of the two identities.)

We as God’s people have to have the mind of God to be in the spirit with God. This is a very important key to walk with God. I guess that is why Romans 12:2 has been one of my verses to know.

Romans 12:2 – And do not be fashioned according to this age,but transformed by the renewing of the mind that you may prove what the will of God is,that which is good and well pleasing and perfect.

Our mind is a key intricate path to God’s understanding of his eternal purpose. My mind needs more help than others it seems on some days, but I pour myself into Him, whether it be in His word, prayer,or in solitaire waiting for his whispering in my spirit.

God’s covenant with His people is two fold. One, It is with an identity, a “corporate” one, not a singular method of acclaiming,(we have to re-look at this at the thinking of the evangelicals that has made what they are today, and the message they are sending. His people are already His people, He just needs them to come back to him, not we need to get everyone on board one by one to get “His” people together.) This is a real thought provoking thought, think on it, and study it. Deuteronomy 30 is a good place to start.

Secondly, the first covenant, was just test, sorta, it was to show His people that they could not find or more importantly show them that they could not “do” the covenant and succeed. They would fail, and they did. I think they thought they eventually would tho?

The second covenant, or the New Testament, was that His People, through Christ  would be that perfecting people of God that He had planned for them. They would be indwelt with Christ,Spirit, and God.

After all, isn’t this what He was referring to in 1 Corinthians 6 :17!

*For some insight into God’s eternal purpose I highly recommend that you do a study on “second’s” of everything in the bible. You will be blown away after you do!!

How do you change your mind?

Do you have your mind made up? Do you just naturally believe what you have been taught, and Why? When and How does your belief in someone or something change? Is it facts or assumptions that have built our way of life? I have come across all these questions over the last 3 yrs and I have come to the conclusion that I have done all these things! Assumed!! I have gone back to the beginning and re-evaluated some of my assumptions and have changed my perspective on these things. It was partly of understanding that the people of my upbringing were of importance and that I should believe them. I have no ill will for them because of this, because I too believe that have done the same thing, assumed!. The other part is my inability to take it for myself to understand  what I thought I believed. This is where my journey begins…. My Faith!    I will later tell you where this has led me in my trip!
